LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! AND ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL

Joan Stein, ADA consultant and Temple Sinai member, will share stories on her work “Making Sports Facilities, Performing Arts Venues, & Other Public Buildings Accessible to Everyone” Joan has been an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) consultant for more than 30 years. 

She will discuss her experiences helping a variety of professional sports organizations including the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the United States Golf Association (USGA), as well as cultural venues, meet letter and spirit of ADA. This law, that is more than 30 years old, prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including public and private places open to the general public.
