Do you want to learn more about Israeli politics and culture, the relationship American Jews and Israelis share (or don’t)? Do you want to dig into a bit of biblical and rabbinic text? Please join the Hartman Learning Group on Sundays at 10:15 AM for 75 minutes (whenever NextDOR is in session) as we explore these issues, using the Shalom Hartman curriculum under the leadership of Rabbi Daniel Fellman.

Our small, but mighty, group has met since 2009, first through the Melton Course. After two years we chose to study Hartman materials with Rabbi Daniel Fellman. Many of the same members still participate; new members have joined each year broadening the discussion; and we eagerly invite others to come aboard. The conversations are enlightening, sometimes heated, but always informative. For information, contact Rabbi Fellman at RabbiFellman@TempleSinaiPGH.org.

The Shalom Hartman Institute is located in Jerusalem. It is a leading center of Jewish thought and education, serving Israel and North America. Our mission is to strengthen Jewish peoplehood, identity, and pluralism; to enhance the Jewish and democratic character of Israel; and to ensure that Judaism is a compelling force for good in the 21st century.
