Join us and guest speaker Samuel Govan, site park ranger for the Flight 93 Memorial, as we tell the story of this historic event as well as the creation of the memorial.
On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, the U.S. came under attack when four commercial airliners were hijacked and used to strike targets on the ground. Nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives. Because of the actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard one of the planes, Flight 93, the attack on the U.S. Capitol was thwarted. Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville only 75 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Learn more about the memorial.
All are welcome—adults and children. Sponsored by WoTS.
Join us on Sunday, August 14 for a bus trip to the memorial.
