"Love's Journey" with Cantor Lauren Bandman

Following Havdalah, Cantor Lauren Bandman (accompanied by Temple Sinai's Ellen Keeney) will perform Love's Journey, a musical love story, and one-woman show, featuring American standards and Broadway favorites. Created by Cantor Lauren Bandman and Russell Norman.

Including compositions of Andrew Lloyd Weber, Georgia Stitt, Marvin Hamlisch, George and Ira Gershwin, Zina Goldrich, Jerome Kern, Michael Kooman, Kurt Weill, William Finn, Harold Arlen and Jason Robert Brown.

ABOUT CANTOR LAUREN BANDMAN
Cantor Lauren Bandman is founder, owner, and instructor at The Studio: Private Music Lessons, LLC in the historic German Village neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, where she maintains a thriving studio teaching voice, piano, guitar, audition preparation (specializing in Musical Theatre), and Jewish Studies - including cantillation. She delights in teaching her students who range from age 7 to 70s!

Cantor Bandman is co-creator and performer of Love's Journey, a one-woman show of musical theatre and American standards that tells of a woman's journey through life and love. In addition to several synagogue musical compilations, including 2014's A Sanctuary in Time: Erev Shabbat at Congregation Beth Am, She can also be heard on A Collection of Soulful Jewish Melodies: Nigun Anthology— Volume I (Transcontinental Music Publications), as well as a cameo appearance on Shifreles Portret: A Yiddish Art Song Project.

Cantor Bandman is a consultant and worship leader in congregations throughout the U.S. She is a proud member of the American Conference of Cantors (ACC) where she served on the Executive Board as well as Chair of the ACC Ethics Committee from 2015-2018. She was a member of the national Commission on Worship, Music and Religious Living from 2010-2018. In 2014, she co-chaired the ACC-GTM Convention in Israel, and was named ACC Volunteer of the Month in February, 2015. TEMPLE SINAI COVID POLICY UPDATE (Effective August 5, 2021): MASKS ARE NOW REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE AT TEMPLE SINAI

Anyone entering the Temple Sinai grounds or building must (a) be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, (b) wear a mask at all times, (c) not be experiencing symptoms of COVID or aware of any recent exposure at the time of entry, and (d) agree to comply with all Temple Sinai COVID requirements.  

By entering Temple Sinai grounds or building you are indicating your understanding of and agreement with these rules on behalf of yourself and any minors whom you are accompanying.

Masks are available for anyone who did not bring one.

Fully Vaccinated means at least two weeks after the second shot of a two-shot regimen (e.g. Pfizer or Moderna) or after the single shot of a one-shot regimen (e.g. Johnson & Johnson).

Exceptions: masks are not required for children under the age of two. Vaccinations are not required for individuals for whom they are not yet available (under the age of 12) or those for whom vaccination is not possible. For full details, click to see the current policy.
