Musical Weekend Dinner with Cantor Benjie Ellen Schiller
Musical Weekend Dinner with Cantor Benjie Ellen Schiller
Temple Sinai kicks off Rabbi Gibson’s 30th Anniversary November 3–4
Since joining Temple Sinai as senior rabbi in 1988, Rabbi Jamie Gibson has helped to shape the congregation as one that embraces inclusion, inspiration, and innovation. Since his early days, he shared his love for Jewish music with the congregation and infused services with joy of song and harmony.
It is only fitting that a weekend musical celebration will kick off his 30th year as Temple Sinai’s rabbi. Noted cantor and Rabbi Gibson’s dear friend, Cantor Benjie Ellen Schiller, will be a featured guest and speaker during the Friday night Shabbat service on November 3. Services will begin at 6:30 PM and will be followed by a catered dinner open to the congregation for a small fee.
Please join us as we welcome Cantor Schiller, a distinguished Professor of Cantorial Arts at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, as our special guest.
