Open Doors 2022

We are so pleased to share that Temple Sinai’s Jewish disAbility Task Force is being honored at Champions of Change: Open Doors Award Shabbat on Friday, June 17 at 7 PM. These dedicated community champions truly embody our congregation’s mission to inspire, innovate, and include everyone who enters our sacred community.

It is a privilege to serve as Event Chairs for this special celebration. Please join us in honoring the incredible legacy of community leadership and commitment of the disAbility Task Force. The 23 individuals who comprise this group have given so much of their time and energy towards making meaningful changes to our physical building and within Temple culture that help enhance the synagogue experience for everyone, from leading initiatives like the installation of an ADA-accessible walkway and ramp leading to the Bodek Rose Garden, to purchasing large-print prayerbooks, to engaging an ASL-interpreter for monthly Mostly Musical Shabbat services.

Since its inception in 2016, our Jewish disAbility Task Force continues to be a beacon of Temple Sinai’s values—the “Champions of Change” who drive the important work of the Task Force represent the heart, soul, and spirit of our community. We are not only honored to serve as Event Chairs for Open Doors 2022—we are also proud to kick off fundraising efforts with a gift at the “Champion” level. We hope you will consider joining us in making a gift of any amount to Temple Sinai in honor of the disAbility Task Force.
