PLEASE JOIN DR. MATTHEW JOHNSON-ROBERSON, DIRECTOR OF THE ROBOTICS INSTITUTE AT CMU, ONSITE OR ONLINE, TO DISCUSS ROBOTICS: DEVELOPMENTS AND CHALLENGES
A broad definition of robotics is "where software meets the real world." While artifical intelligence (AI) has been around for nearly seven decades, its rapidly growing prevalence (including in robotics systems and generative AI) has given rise to new opportunities for society along with fresh concerns. In this talk, Dr. Johnson-Roberson will discuss some recent developments in robotics (with some cool videos!), describe exciting challenges for the future, and answer some questions about societal concerns.
